The wallet
The minimalist metal wallet is the thing that gets found in a jacket pocket forty years on. Titanium takes a dark mark that looks machined in; carbon fiber takes a fine light one in the weave; leather takes a dark, slightly recessed mark. Initials, small, in a corner, and it is theirs.

The titanium one. Heavier in the hand, warmer in color, and it marks dark instead of silver, a matte line in the metal that will outlast the cards inside it.
